FUNDACIÓ JOAN MIRÓ
Founded by one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Today it is an open, dynamic space where Joan Miro’s art coexists in perfect harmony with the artworks of other talented contemporary artists.
Location: Parс de Montjuic, 08038 Barcelona.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 7 pm, Thursday с 10 am to 9.30 pm, Sunday and public holidays 10 am to 14.30 pm.
Price: general entrance fee – 11 EUR, reduced fee – 7 EUR.
Antoni Tapies
MNAC: MUSEU NACIONAL D’ART DE CATALUNYA
Catalan national art museum is located in a beautiful palace which was a symbolic building of the International Exhibition in 1929. Its collection features all forms of art: sculpture, painting, photography, prints, posters and many others. The goal of the museum is to highlight the importance of Catalan art dating back to Roman times and until the middle of 20th century.
Location: Parc de Montjuïc, 08038, Barcelona.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 6 pm (from May to September open until 8 pm), Sunday and public holidays 10 am to 3 pm
Price: general entrance – 12 EUR (valid for 2 days since the date of purchase), temporary expositions – 4-6 EUR.
Free entrance: each Saturday after 3 pm and every first Sunday of the month.
Barcelona
FUNDACIÓ ANTONI TÀPIES
Founded in 1984 with an aim to study and evaluate contemporary art. The founder
Antoni Tàpies became famous in the world of art thanks to his paintings that he created using wastepaper, dirt and rags. The building where the foundation is housed today is also one the artist’s creations called «Núvol i cadira» («Cloud and chair»). It is a great example of modernist architecture where bricks and iron are masterfully joined. Currently the foundation combines a cultural center and a museum dedicated to the life and art of Antoni Tàpies, and it also hosts exhibitions, symposiums, lectures and film screenings.
Location: Carrer Aragó 255, 08007, Barcelona.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10 am to 7 pm, closed on Monday.
Price: general entrance – 7 EUR, reduced fee – 5,60 EUR.
Macba. Museu d’Art Contemporani
MACBA. MUSEU D’ART CONTEMPORANI
The curious building designed by an American architect Richard Meier, where the famous museum is located, is a contemporary art object in itself. Permanent collection includes more that 5000 pieces created between mid-20th century and until nowadays. Among them are works of abstract art, pop art, avantgarde, art photography and minimalist sculpture.
Location: Plaça dels Àngels 1, 08001, Barcelona.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 11 am to 8 pm, Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, Sunday and public holidays 10 am to 3 pm, closed on Tuesday (excluding holidays).
Price: 10 EUR, annual pass with unlimited visits costs 15 EUR.
ARTS SANTA MÒNICA
Arts center and an open space to study, create and promote modern art. It is a place where all kinds of creative fields meet: fine art, music, audiovisual and digital art, literature, science, philosophy, design, architecture, fashion and gastronomy. Unlike other museums, the center does not have its own collection, but rather hosts more than 20 exhibitions per year featuring contemporary Spanish and international artists. Arts Santa Mònica also offers various cultural and educational events for general public.
Location: La Rambla 7, Ciutat Vella, 08001, Barcelona.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 11 am to 9 pm, Sunday and public holidays 10 to 5 pm, closed on Monday.

COSMOCAIXA, EL MUSEO DE LA CIENCIA DE LA OBRA SOCIAL “LA CAIXA”
The first interactive science museum in Spain. Permanent exhibition features geology corner that represents Earth´s cutaway, part of the Amazon forest with its inhabitants, 3D planetarium and the Substance chamber. The biggest advantage of the museum is that it offers a chance to touch the exhibits and even conduct some interesting practical experiments.

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 10 am to 8 pm.

CAIXA FORUM BARCELONA
This center is located in a unique building representing Catalan modernist industrial architecture from the beginning of 20th century. Museum offers a wide choice of social, cultural and educational programs and exhibitions for all audiences.

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 10 am to 8 pm.
